Hi I've noticed that k2 items using multiple images with your plugin, when posted on facebook, they don't "load" and image.
Is there a way to fix that?

Hello, Dimitris.

As I know, your page should contains og:image meta tag + image should be bigger some specific size.
Please, try to increase a parameter: K2 -> Parameters -> Social -> Image size ...

Please, try to check its size, also you can use facebook debug console - developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/

Also, if you use K2ExtraOrder plugin on your site, please try to update it with the latest version.

thank you for your reply :)

I'm not using K2ExtraOrder.
The page contains og:image and I've set it to XL from the K2 social configuration.

I had completely forgotten about the facebook developer tools!
I get this warning:

The provided 'og:image' properties are not yet available because new images are processed asynchronously. To ensure shares of new URLs include an image, specify the dimensions using 'og:image:width' and 'og:image:height' tags

I don't know if there is an easy way to deal with it or I have to google it further!

sorry I forgot to add that if I run the debugger again, the image loads.

well I tried adding the og:image:width' and 'og:image:height' tags and still doesn't work.
From what I see it has nothing to do with your plugin, and it's just facebook's stupid settings.

Thank you for your help anyway :)

Please, try to check if your site using gzip compression, it seems facebook not working with it.

Also, maybe it is some temporary facebook issue.

Also, try to disable any extra Joomla plugins, just for debug.

I'm returning to this after a long time - because I just managed to finish the website.

Unfortunately disabling gzip compression, didn't work.
I still think that the issue is caused by the slider. Facebook can't "find" the image the first time.
I've tried some other sites with nivo slider, etc, and they had a similar issue.

There must be a workaround... I'll see if I can figure something out
