K2 Filter & Search module 3699 - Timeout exceeded in regular expression match.

If I do any of the following:

1) Search for a word AND the module does not display suggestions.
2) Search shows suggestions, but I do not click on the selection.
3) Search for a word that does not exist like "abcd".

Then I get an error page with "3699 - Timeout exceeded in regular expression match."
