We have installed and configured the K2 Filter Module to show results from one category by AJAX display, but while the extrafield filter selections are visible (hence the module is publsihed correctly) it never shows any search results nor does it show all items from the categorie when no filter is selected.
Joomla version: current (3.8.12), K2 Version also current;
We have tried all different setting (from generic template to category, ajax disabling, etc) but nothing worked.
hi, thanks for the fast reply, which is even more appriciated since it is a little urgent to get the filter section up an running:)
I have double checked: the plugin and module both are installed and published.
I have reinstalled the plugin but same behavior.
I send you the link the the page's section in a PM along with a user account to login in.
I've checked your site, and it looks like you disabled submit button. But, in this case, it is required to enable 'Automatic form submit' parameter, for be able to submit a form. Please, try to check it.
we have switched on "Automatic submit" and AJAX "Yes" and now it does simply show a big spinner icon when selecting something like e.g. setup, which spinns forever.
We also would like to have all available items visible in the beginning like in the demo, not just an empty page - but the module is not displaying the items from the configured categories from the start,
Sorry, but ajax mode not working fine with some site templates, it generates 'addCustomTag' error.
You can fix it by this way:
Go to modules\mod_k2_filter\tmpl\Default\elements\ and rename ajax_results.alt.php to ajax_results.php (replace standard file).
In the module demo, it is just K2 category page used as menu item for initial page. Please, try to add this menu item and place the module on this page. Also, you will need to adjust 'Itemid for search results page' parameter and select this new created menu item.
Sadly this is not working either.
I also tried to link the menue Item to a category as you described but this makes also no real sense to me, since the category items are shown and the results container is there (empty as before)
We have your module working on another website (but an older version we bought a year ago or so), where we just set it up like that:
menue item > links to k2 item
module > displayed below
it shows all the items there as it should until a filter is applied.
I've checked your site and I am not see that new file applied. Please, if you use Selectize template, then you need to use related template folder instead of Default - modules\mod_k2_filter\tmpl\Selectize
On 'All Features' menu item, I see items list now and filter module bellow. Why it is not useful for you?
